Planning Checklist

You’re engaged! Now it’s time to start planning your big day! It may feel overwhelming, but there is plenty of time to take care of all of the details. Here is a checklist for the first stages of your wedding planning, and what is priority.

- Make an outline of the time frame you are looking at. Some people have a dream date for their wedding. If it is that specific, you should consider if it is rational considering your engagement period. If you are set on May 6th, but you get engaged in February, it makes sense to set it for the year prior. Decide how long you want your engagement period to last, even if you don’t pick an exact date just yet.

- You can also begin to imagine the overall style for your big day. Considering color combinations and palettes are the best part to wedding planning! Have fun with it!

- It’s also time to announce your engagement! Find a fun card or hire a photographer for an engagement shoot.

- You can also begin on making your guest list. Start early when it comes to considering who will be in attendance, as this is a long, and controversial process with many drafts.
