Engagement Party

Are you ready to plan your engagement party? Here are some traditional steps, information, and tips when it comes to throwing a celebration for your engagement.

When is the party? This party is usually thrown a couple weeks, to a couple months after the proposal. But of course, you can throw it whenever you’d like! Just consider that there will also be a Bridal shower closer to the wedding date.

What should be involved? This is one hundred percent up to you. Depending on your preference, you can have a small, family and close friends get together with as few as 15 guests. Engagement parties can also be large events with near one hundred guests. Often there is food and drinks, but the scale of this is also up to you. You can have cocktails, a small buffet, or just offer home made snacks. It can also be an organized dinner at a restaurant of your choice.

What about the invites? This also depends on the mood of your party. A small get together at home can have a modern, fun email invite. If you’re more for the traditional, you can have paper invites made and sent to your guests.
