If it’s time to start looking for your wedding gown, you may come across some of the most popular trends in the market. This is what is hot this coming year, and what to keep your eye out for.

- Traditional cuts are out, and now we’re seeing more modern looks for gowns. Shorter cut hemlines are becoming increasingly more popular, with a skirt that hits just above the knee. Not to mention the one shoulder neckline. This asymmetrical cut is making a comeback.

- Details such as ruffles and tiers are also becoming more common. Layered fabrics all hitting different levels of the skirt, creating a “wedding cake” look is a big trend for this year.

- High necklines are no longer for the conservative. Boat necks and other high neck cuts in dresses are becoming as popular as they are flattering. They are reminiscent of 1950′s movie star icons, with classy taste.

- Sheer fabrics are also a big hit this year. Layering thin, traditional fabrics over solid ones make for beautiful texture and a unique take on the wedding dress. Whether it is the sleeves, straps or skirt, this is a great detail to any cut.
